What IS ONE World-ONE Heart?It is a blog-wide giveaway event. The original idea behind this was to bring bloggers together from around the world who may never ordinarily meet. It closes the gap of the blog community and enables us to interact, discover new and wonderful people, and in the process possibly win a prize or many prizes along the way. Last years event had nearly 100 participants and many connections were made because of it......friendships that are still going strong.
How do you become a participant?
To be a participant in the event all you have to do is offer up something to giveaway. It can be handmade, which is encouraged but not mandatory. You can offer up more than one item so there is more than one winner if you like. The giveaway item(s) are entirely up to you. Once you have determined what your giveaway will be you will must post pictures of whatever it is in a post on your blog. Then you go back to the original blog here and post a link. To join in you must blog offer and 'register' by 13th Feb 2008 and then do your draw on 14th Feb.
What am I giving away - this....
This piece is in a small wooden frame (no glass) the inner piece measures 4.5 x 6.5". It is black velvet with gold foiling impressed with a soldering iron, with a piece of my annealed aluminium embedded, and gold hand stitches. This is a great idea! However, I just moved across country and have most of my stuff in storage. What I would like to do, is go into as many of the blogs as I can and sign in. If my name gets pulled by anyone as a winner, I will donate $100 to AIDS Foundation in memory of my brother. If my name gets selected more than once, I will up the ante an additional $10 every time it gets pulled (greedy I know, but one can dream!!!) If my name is not pulled by anyone, I will still make a $50 donation. This way, everyone is a winner.
I hope to get my name drawn at least once.
