Yesterday the group I mentioned in earlier posts - met again, to find a permanent venue rather than to have a meeting. We now have access to a great studio in Devizes (so much easier for me!!) and as such I offered us a new name (after all the lady who runs the studio, Claire, needed something to put in her diary for the booking- see below) - We are Moonrakers Textiles - a bit cheesy - (excuse the pun - for those of you who know the story of the Moonrakers of Devizes!!)
We will be meeting on the first Saturday of the month (so the next meeting will be 3rd October) at 10.30 am for a four hour session. The venue is BrickRed Studio - Claire offers several workshops on textile printing from this venue. Follow the link to their website for more info and directions. If you live in or around Devizes are a textile practitioner - any discipline - embroidery, patchwork, mixed media etc so long as it is textile based and you are interested in joining us please get in touch with me for more information.
On my walk today look what I found crossing the road....
Wonder what it will turn into ?? And what do you think made and lives in this hole?? - it is a new hole, quite high up a steep bank and there are no tracks but several worn paths.
