Back to Peaceblossom

Just realised this is post number 597 - may have to think of a giveaway for post 600 - probably will be one of my silk carrier rod bags, but will think more.

Anyway.....

Having completed the commission I am now back to working on Oberon and Peaceblossom - you may remember how far I had reached - not far at all - see HERE. Well this morning I have made this.... WHAT IS IT? The top of a sweat pea pod of course !!! This is what it looks like pinned to the wire curl pinned to the bodice base.... Next the leaves.... I have taken photos of the sweet pea in my garden to get the correct shape - these are now drying.. Next the fabrics to make the flowers were cut - these are two twinkle nylons and two chiffon - these will be paired in various combinations (I think) depending on how the sample one works... here is one of the larger samples viewed from both sides - wonder what my neighbours think of the washing line now.... If all these work I will have to make loads so keep your fingers crossed they work!!
