Blogoversary and still working - Muse 3, 4 and a new idea

Someone has just pointed out that today is my Blog's Anniversary - I started this blog on 22 October 2006 and have achieved so much since then. Thanks to those who have followed my work, my mood swings and all my ups and downs.

It is surprising just how much you can achieve sitting still with your leg up in the air.... As usual I have several things on the go and no doubt as I have been signed off work for a week I may have more projects started as I obviously can't use the pedal of my sewing machine - it means preparing and starting stuff doesn't it?? I could do some work in a sketchbook too I suppose. Will think about that idea.

Anyway so far - I made the cord for Muse 3 whilst I still had use of my leg.

Today sitting at the table I tacked the top to the wadding ready for quilting later.

Sitting still I also managed to sort and iron the first set of dyeing for Muse 4 (the pieced one). They were dried on the radiators

and now are a nice neat pile.

The next set is brewing. In the meantime I have printed four favourite photos on Rocky onto cotton fabric - I don't use any commercial stuff on the fabrics -

I just print straight onto the cotton and then iron it -

seems to work. So what am I doing these for....... well here is a clue - another label also printed directly onto cotton....

OK - so I am planning on making a small quilt for Rocky either for his birthday at the end of November or for Christmas - depending on when I can use the machine again.
