Workshop

I have had a rubbish day at the office today. Everything that could go wrong did!! It started with a locksmith causing too much dust sorting out a vault safe door, which set off the fire alarms and I could not silence them for ages. The only advantage was I used the experience as an unplanned fire drill to see who left the buildings properly - that was successful. THen we had a double booked lunch time meeting so twice the number of sandwiches were ordered (and wasted), The rest of the day went rapidly down hill, from there. I'm just glad to be home.

A couple of peoople have asked about the workshop I taught on Tuesday... I offer a couple of workshops to the local guilds, see my website. This particular one was to make a coffee grid book - like this one...
They are created with newspaper, photocopier/printer paper, machined in grids and washed with strong coffee.
The group were lovely and produced some great samples.
I do enjoy taking these workshops - it's a great way to relax from the office job, but I sure panic before I start. I'm so afraid of 'failing' as a tutor - not very practiced in that side of things yet but I do love sharing and inspiring others to make any type of art.
Still looking for a new topic to work on so at home I've still not done any textile art.
