Day 9 - 2 of 9

Yesterday's postcard is a tribute to Val Campbell-Harding, or at least a technique she used many times on my 'failures'!! That is to cover something you are not 100% happy with, with white emulsion paint! First I stitched the felted piece with some of the nylon ribbon as before, then painted it with emulsion, once speed dryed with the hot tool , I then rubbed off some of the paint and added some fine sorbello stitches (some in copper) and tiny pastel beads. The photo does not really show just how pale it is.

Sorbello stitch seems to be a bit of a compulsion at the moment - it's so nice to do!!

The other lovely surprise came in the post today - I had been lucky enough to win a MEME on Lynda's blog (Purple Misses) My photo does not do Lilly B justice - she is just the most divine lady !! Even the paper she came wrapped in is wonderful. THANK YOU so much Lynda. A better pic is available on Lynda's blog site: http://purplemissus.blogspot.com/

Oh, that's a great idea this emulsion paint trick... I'm going to try it.
