The Garden

As today is the second day without pouring rain I thought I'd check out the garden and put out the two lanterns we bought in Marrakesh....
Then on to checking out the plants............I have a tomato.. (yippee) - OK it's less than 1cm in size but at least there is one!!and some plants look lovely.... but shock horror something is happily eating its way though the garden.. yes making pretty patterns but will I have plants left at the end of the summer????.. This is an uneaten lilac and an eaten one..and it obviously likes the Hosta ..
an uneaten Cranesbill, Geranium and the eaten one...
it even likes to eat Holly...and my bay tree!!!!!What can I do???? Don't suggest anything arty as I've already thought of that one!!! I do use slug pellets (the natural ones) as we have both slugs and snails but these buses are quite tall!
