Spirals

I'm sorry but I forgot to post this beautiful postcard I have received from Doreen. It is so beautiful. Thanks Doreen.On the yahoo Unlimited Textiles group I have just signed up for the two September swaps - 'Colour Combination' and I have spent the day making the quiltie and postcards before I have found out who they need to be sent to. So whoever you are I hope you don't mind me a) explaining how they were made and b) showing them here almost finished!! The postcards are finished and very simple the quiltie just needs beads.
How they were made? The background is transfer printed in purple and yellow my favourite colour combination also using my favourite symbol of the moment the spiral (I used a lot of these last weekend!!)The spirals are also transfer printed and then cut out and applied.
The applied shapes were stitched in opposite colours - here are the finished pieces - I had some fabric spare so I created two ATC's as well.

And the quiltie..... it just needs the hand finish to the binding and some beads added.
