BACK TO WORK.......

In several senses of the phrase!
Back to work i) 'Real' Work - I actually went to my 'real' job today - I've been off sick long enough - although I did (and still do) feel really rough. I managed to speak to a doctor on the phone - she did not 'wish' to see me but just issued me with a prescription for antibiotics - at long last!!! It took for my ears to be blocked, my eyes and nose to be 'streaming' with unpleasant stuff, my face to look like a gerbil (full of stuff) and to have developed a rattling cough for her to do something for me. She did say it will take approx 78 hours to start feeling better but hey I can wait that long after all it's been three weeks now!

Back to work ii) College work - I am about to get some more homework at least started before the weekend (when we go back to college)

and

Back to work iii) Personal Art work - My friend Jan has set us a lovely, very hard theme for our Feb challenge - I am actually excited by the title and have got the sketchbook ready to work in whilst flopped on the sofa in a heap of overworked exhaustion!!

Before you shout at me - I did take it very steady at work today - mostly sorting work loads into piles to gradually work on over the next few days - the usual day to day stuff that no one else does in your absence stuff. I did not even think about some of the major projects I am now very behind on - they can wait until I am back to a full recovery. The doctor had said it was my choice if I went to work or not, or to consult with my boss. He (my boss) was lovely - he is getting over a much milder version of this bug himself and is very sympathetic - he was so glad to see me back and said I could go home whenever or if I felt I needed a few more days to really zap the germs then stay home, but kept saying he was so glad I was back - reading between the lines I know he would rather I struggle into the office and do some work even if it is only a small amount. I know he does not want to think about who could handle my work if I am not there for a few more days. It's great it means I can do whatever I choose! For once I love it!!!!!

Glad to hear you got some treatment and finally a sympathetic boss! Take care of yourself. Sounds like you've got the right idea.

Take it easy! Thanks so much for your lovely comment on my blog; I think my computer problems are now solved and I'm back in the land of the living. Hope you feel better soon.
