Visit to Salisbury

I have just got back from a visit to Salisbury - where I went to see the latest exhibition by Wessex Textile Artists Group. More details HERE - unfortunately I did not have my camera (my daughter is taking it to Rome for a few days). So no pics from the exhibition. The pieces are small but lovely. I particularly like Ruby Lever, Maggie Hills and Yvonne Morton's work.

I did however take one photo on my mobile phone - walking through town..... For some reason this made me laugh....... I would hope so - you'd look a bit silly with only one!!

Shame I don't live closer to Salisbury - the exhibition looks interesting.

The poster made me laugh too!

A bit belated but congrats on your article in WOW.

Great sign, I laughed out loud, which is good for you so, thank you. I have rust dyed before but particularly liked your use of a tin can. Will have to try this when the weather gets warmer.

It's a lovely article, Anna. Thanks for writing it and thanks for lending some of your work for the next book.
Glad you enjoyed the Salisbury exhibition. It's a difficult thing to promote as it is quite a small show and there is quite a steep admission charge. We did all find that working on small square pices was interesting, though and there's some good stuff there. Wessex textiles will be at the K&S shows in 2010 so that's an exciting thing to look forward to.
