BUT SHOCK HORROR and TREMENDOUS SADNESS - The closest, most fantastic book shop around is CLOSING !!!!! Tomorrow is the day they close the doors for the last time!!! Where am I going to get my American Magazines or look through Travel books, Gardening books and of course the Textile books I love????????????
As you can tell I am devastated!!! Sitting here crying onto the pages of the bargain I just HAD, HAD, HAD to buy!! I have looked through this brilliant 600 page tome every time I have visited Borders but was not prepared to pay the £29.99 price tag. Today I snapped up a real bargain as I only paid £11 for it!!!

How sad! I do know how you feel and what a terrible sign of the times. The high streets don't feel the same any more ... but I'm so glad you got your coveted book at such a bargain price ... enjoy!

Are ALL borders closing?
I only just discovered them.
Borders closed at Lakeside sometime ago. I now go to the one at Milton Keynes when I am staying with my mother. It is my favourite bookshop.
