DOH !!!

I am really really cross with myself - I have just spent the last 4 hours working on something new that I now realise (part way through) that I could have done it in a much simpler way hours ago!!!! Here is the design.... I layered up 5 fabrics stitched over my paper pattern , spent time pulling off the paper and have been carefully cutting out the middle section...(sorry pic is blurred) however it is now that I realised that I could have just cut curved pieces and them applied them - no need to spend hours (with many more to go) cutting out the middle!!

Do I continue? Or do I start again???? DOH !!!
