Sorry - to those of you who have been worried about me - I am here and OK - having slipped so far down the mood scale - I am now back on the way up! Life is beginning to sort out for me. On the job front although I lost my temporary job on 6th, I started a new 6 month contract on 9th, but am also applying for a perm job, which fingers crossed I stand a pretty good chance of getting as the Manager concerned had been hinting about it coming up for the last few weeks ! So that is now a bit more settled. I have been attending a Stress and Mood Management course (Mad Club as we call it at home) but don't think I need it any more :-)
On to art work - before New York -Peaceblossom was at this stage - well she still is ! I will get on with her later this afternoon as I need the mannequin to continue with Oberon and he is still stuck where he was last time I mentioned him :-).
In my last post I showed you the cards I had purchased in NY well I have done more with the designs.... couple of examples here....(paper version followed by Paint Shop Pro play version). I have done a lot on the computer but none of it felt 'right' so yesterday I took my 'sketchbook' over to Jane Lemon's (where another Jane and I have been kindly invited to work once a month :-) !!!!!!!!) and Jane L gave me some pointers on tonal value and focal points, with several exercises for me to work on. Stuff I have covered on various courses but never really taken into my own work. When I got home I painted some 'flat' colour pages in 5 tones of purple and 3 tones of turquoise, ready to work on more tonal exercises. So I now have lots of 'homework' and the list is getting longer - actually I should write a list shouldn't I, or maybe I should just get on with it?? !!
Anyway I am back!!

Good to see you back Anna. Everything crossed for the job :)
I am so sorry you have been to that dark place - pleased that you have returned safely.
I love the exercises in colour and tonal values that you have shown and of course PeaceBlossom is gorgeous.
Gald to hear you are on the up. Good luck with the job.
Anna, sorry to hear you have not been up to speed, but pleased things are on the mend. This is the first comment I've made on your blog. I love your colour exercises. I must read more of your blog, it looks very interesting, and much of it to my liking. Do take care.
