Muse 1 Nearly complete

Never having made a quilted hanging before - Muse 1 has been a lovely learning experience - I have not used any books etc to learn how to put it together. There is a bit more to go but today I quilted the edge (I was told this was what it needed by Jane Lemon) and now I am about to stitch some bias binding to finish the actual edge. The only bit I am unsure of is whether to have some of the binding showing on the right side or not. I personally like it without but don't know.

I think no bnding showing is best on wall hangings as then the binding does not detract from the hanging. Just my view, but I always use a facing type binding for my quilted wall hangings using straight strips of fabric which are turned right over so that nothing is showing on the right side. It is all a matter of personal taste and whether you want the binding to be part of the design.

Awesome, grats on making your first wall quilt. The binding is always a very personal thing in my opinion. Depending on the quilt itself and the maker.
Some people want a perfect binding , some just zigzag the edges.Do what you fell and believe this piece needs, after all its you creation. Would love to see the finished piece, please post pics?!

If you like it without binding that is the way it should be.
