Happy Easter to all - I have not done much this Easter break - I have been thinking :-)
In the last few days, however I have made two more Kindle pouches:
I did not find what I was looking for however I did end up clearing the work surface to make it more user friendly!
And I did find something interesting - that I have not seen in years and years,,,,,, When I first started my C&G courses back in 1992 I was a guinea pig for Empress Mills and their new selection of threads box idea (they don't do this offer any more - obviously). I purchased their offer of a box full of threads of your choice - 34 reels for £75 - a bargain at that time. I found these threads so special that I hardly used them - and look - they are still near perfect !!
My daughter was here for lunch yesterday and we spent the afternoon making this - we had seen one in a garden centre gift shop a couple of weeks ago and were sure we could make our own with the buttons and beads I have collected over the years !
Now to the Mad Hatter - yes I have finished the Jacket..

That jacket is stunning.
Wow! Your Mad Hatter jacket is really impressive Anna
The Mad Hatter jacket is fabulous Anna, it made me laugh when I saw your heart as I collect hearts and my husband pointed to pretty mother of pearl button one last week when we were in Birmingham, and I replied I can make that myself, it was just like the one you have shown here,
PS. I haven't made mine yet :)
A fabulous job on the Mad Hatter coat, it looks amazing, well done.
Love the heart and how great to work it together with your daughter.
Hi Anna - thanks for the tip about the Wiltshire scrap store - looks a great source of really cheap stuff... Must pay a visit. Love the patchwork phone holders.
Your costumes are always wonderful! But your workroom looks rather like mine:)
