Holes in bowls

Question from Judy..
I am intrigued by your wonderful bowls, Anna! I make bowls using the sewing machine, but have not tried any with gaps or holes. Do you have any references you could share on how to create these, or are they your original designs?
to answer your question - the bowls with holes are my original designs - self taught and sadly as at present I am selling these would rather not share how the holes are made.  Just note there is no fabric in the bowls only thread!!
