Looking through my stash of unfinished works and half made samples I came across some pre -felts. Any felters out there will know, a pre-felt is the first run through in hand felting. I had various colours of pre-felts to use up. Finding a largish off white pre-felt I spread out rectangles of coloured pre- felts and carefully stitched them in a random fashion using mixed colours of stranded cotton (in thick combinations) then I worked on the felt until it had shrunk down by about 1/3 and the stitches had really combined with the wool.
This was then cut up into two postcards and two ATC's, a few shiny pink thread stitches (cross and straight) and there you have them!
Diane Yates - if you are reading this - thanks for your comments I have no way to contact you direct. If you email me your address I'll pop one of my postcards in the post to you!
Marilyn in MN - I'm not sure how to get in touch with you but I think I have misunderstood what it is you'd like to swap. I made four recycle cards for a yahoo group swap. If you'd like one of those I can make another, however I thought you would like the card shown on day 27 of this blog. Please email me with your choice and mailing address.
In fact could I request that anyone trying to contact me via the comments section of my blog (which believe me I do appreciate) if you want me to respond please also send an email - my address is available in my profile section.
