More 'Scrap' Works

Thanks to those of you who suggested ways of cleaning the iron - I'll try Bounce!
Here are the next four 'scrap' works. These are postcards made from tissue paper which I dyed and on top is thicker cast paper - made by me, also painted with the same dye. Then various methods of stitching and some beads - Swap anyone? The one top right(and detail below) is already spoken for but the others are up for swapping.
The other thing I have done today is to book myself a place on a course with Sandra Meech - I went on a course with her (same venue) last year and it was great so I'm off for three full days of work with her! There are still places left if anyone in UK fancies a weekend of art at Farncombe Estate in the Cotswolds (the dry hilly side of Worcestershire) - it's a great centre and a great tutor !:

Crafts & Textiles
Stitch Textiles : The Creative Edge (3 day course)
Start: 24 August 2007 at 6:00 p.m. End: 27 August 2007 at 4:00 p.m.With
Sandra Meech

Explore new and exciting approaches to finding creativity using intuitive thoughts and ideas with practical design theory. With personal themes, students explore several steps in the process finding a new creative edge to their future work. Group discussion and simple brainstorming ideas, will be followed by design exercises using mixed media and fabric collage. Surface techniques with painted textured papers, acrylic on cotton, and embellishment with plastics, tyvek and 3D dimension with wireform will be enhanced by mark making stitch by hand and machine. A collage and stitch book will be assembled at the end of the two days as a valuable creative reference for the future.
