Susan D - Thanks for your comments. Unfortunately or fortunately, whichever way you look at it, my Dr and various hormone tests say I have gone through and am out the other side of the change at a very young age!! I now have to prepare for bone density tests and I am def.. not going onto any more drugs - no HRT for me!
Just checked the garden - I have loads and loads of green tomatoes (mostly still small) but look.....
one has decided to start turning - maybe that 10 mins of sun we've had has done the trick. I was not looking forward to making green tomato chutney!

Anna -My Dad used to take the tomatoes (if they wouldn't ripen)
into the house and put them in a cupbourd for a few days and they would turn red in there.
I must say they didn't tase as good as the naturally turned red ones but a least Mum didn't have to make pickles with them
