At Last the Secret Idea is Ready

This is such a bind.... In order to blog I have to copy everything I want to say from my PC onto a USB Stick and then load it onto the lap top so that I can use a different Internet connection to get online. If Orange don't sort it soon I will scream!!!!!

Any way to this secret idea I have been going on about. It's thanks to Kate N so blame her!! On October 21st I blogged about my latest rust dyeing pieces - saying I had no idea what I am going to do with them - Kate kindly put a comment which read:

How about a giveaway on your blog... OK, that's wishful thinking. Honestly, I don't know how best to use them, but they sure are pretty to look at!

I also miss getting pieces of art work in the post - So that is what gave me the idea: I have been 'brewing' some more rust dyeing - pieces measuring approx 11" x 8" - roughly A4 size (see photos below - they are not as bright as before so I may use some of my stash and may not be cotton) and the idea is this - I will send a piece to the first 5 people who comment and would like to play - on condition that you send me a piece of art work including a small piece of the fabric back. I would like a piece no smaller than an ATC (3.5" x 2.5") and not using the whole piece of rust dyed fabric - that way you get to keep the remainder. I'd like to receive the art work by December 10th - Deal?? Of course you can incorporate other stuff - so long as I can see the piece of rust dyed somehow.

Kate - if you would like to play you will be player number 6.
Once I have the names I will obviously need your snail mail addresses.

The fabrics below are the latest rust dyeing for my college sampling - the top one is a cotton dishcloth that I stitched with my favourite sorbello stitch before rusting it.

Anna - I don't know if you are allowing international participation but I would be honored to make a piece of art for you using your fabric. The mail might not be fast enough for your deadline. I agree with Kate, those rust pieces are pretty.

ooooo I'd love to play with some rust dye if you'd like another "swap" with me :-) I have no problem with the idea of using non-cotton -- though unsure what idea will bubble to the top of the stew working away in my brain as I drool over my computer screen looking at them :-)

If I can play you could give me my fabric on Tuesday at GWE?

Anna, did you notice that the last piece of fabric in this post already has a "face" in the upper right corner? Cool!
