Klimt Bodice 1

As I keep using 'Klimt' in the title I am running out of other endings so from now on I will number my Klimt posts! Two parts to today's notes..
1- started preparing the background fabric - cut up some shiny/glitzy pieces of fabric (too many as usual so I have loads left).placed them out on the base fabric - between the purple stuff and the top layer of two tone twinkle chiffon stuff. Here it is on the dining room table - before I added the top layer. But before I stitch ....
2. Another stitch sample - yes Anna has done yet another sample!! This time I stitched free hand from the reverse as I wanted to try a gold thread (which does not like going through the needle) and different designs - not just the spirals. The sample is quite small - this is a close up of the stitching and here you can see the designs on the bottom (which was my top for stitching) and I used purple - when I stitch the final piece the bottom thread will be white so that it disappears into the felt. A close up of the top once heated with my hot gun. You know I think I will do just one more sample before I stitch the final piece - this time with some gold and some purple to see if a combination of the two will look good.

I am watching your sampling with great interest, I love Klimt's work and Hunderwasser too.
