I don't like to say but although I find these flowers fascinating they did slightly sour my day as they were from my ex husband who I have not had any contact with for several years now (made me feel a bit sick) - my daughter was all for throwing them out but I want to wait to see how they open.

50 - the actual day
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO SENT GOOD WISHES FOR MY 50TH BIRTHDAY ON SATURDAY. On the actual day I was at college on the last part of the three part course but my friends made it a really special day (and I even had a creative ah ha moment too!!) - anyway a big thanks to Jane, Janet, Jayne, and Hazel in particular for providing cake.... pop..... and beautiful flowers.... The flowers are stunning in a vase at home - some of the other flowers at home had to be moved to a bucket to accommodate these new ones (as I could not keep the one college lent me)!! There were also cards and you can see in the corner a great fun present of a bubble maker!! This card was from the other Janet - another fan of Zentangles (also on this course) and the lady whose 'fault' it is that I am doing my commission! (Thanks Janet) Of course there was toasting.... All in all a fantastic day! THANKS TO ALLThen on Sunday when I got home guess what.....a delivery of MORE FLOWERS !! These definitely had to stay in a bucket so the arrangement is not too brilliant. They are also the most unusual things I have ever seen.

Wow, what lovely celebrations and flowers you have had.
Congratulations for your 50th.
Belated Birthday greetings Anna, looks like you had a fabulous day!
I am so glad that you had a good birthday.
I think that your unusual flowers look like ones from Africa, but the name escpes me at the moment-a senior moment!
You are having a wonderful birthday!
What a lovely birthday (despite the flowers from your ex). Glad you had a good time with friends and family.
Happy Birthday from me too... I hope I get to see you in a few weeks and I can congratulate the real you rather than the virtual.
Hope you are continuing to celebrate.

Happy belated birthday Anna! That cake sure looked yummy, and I think you were totally spoilt with all that bubbly and those flowers!
I laughed so hard about the bunch you got from your ex. I would want to do the same if mine did that too. How odd!
Carole :)
