ATC's and One Door Closes

I had yet another sleepless night - its only 7.30am and I have been up for over two hours already - two loads of laundry out and some petals drying outside - yesterday my boss asked to see me just before home time. I have been there two months out of a six month contract. To start the conversation she said 'One door closes and another one opens'.... and funnily enough rather than thinking optimistically as the phrase suggests I knew something bad was coming... sure enough, she told me my contract is going to end at the beginning of August - in fact 2 weeks after I come back from New York! So where is the door opening??? I have no idea - to me it's just another one being slammed in my face! One door closes has been running through my head all night!

Sorry - had to get that off my chest.
Now to more interesting things.. tomorrow Urchfont Manor College has its open day - if you are in the area do call in - I will be showing just two of my most recent corsets as part of the two groups I belong to and will show you some of the other exhibits tomorrow (or Monday)

Here are three more ATC's I have received - from Sheila Susanna from Spain and Gemma also from Spain So thanks very much ladies.

Here is the progress on Peaceblossom - some more pods in production and the current pile of leaves

Oh no, I know just how you feel, hubby is being made redundant AGAIN, looks like he may get redeployed but all the limbo is sending me crackers :( Sending you any spare energy I have. The older I get the more I realise we are all just a number and no employer really cares anymore

I know about sleepless nights. My husband recently had a stroke, will have shunt surgery Tuesday and then rehab. I love your ATCs!

Sorry to hear aboout loosing your job, it seems no-ones job is safe. I have had my hour cut and my pay reduced by a third, starting in September. I was told if I didnt like it I would loose my job. I always thought teaching was a 'safe' job! I hope something good happens for you soon

Oh what a horrid conversation to have. I do hope the next path is a positive one for you with plenty of opportunity to continue to grow creatively. All the best.

Sorry to hear about your job Anna, I really hope something else comes up for you. How did the open day go? I was hoping to make it, but it was the day after I got back from holiday and time just got away from me.
