I have started planning another Muse piece - for the moment I have started with the fabric. Sometime ago my son gave me a couple of old white cotton shirts to add to my fabric stash. When I say 'white' I use the term loosely! They may have been white originally, but now, as many mums would know they don't stay white for long. This one was particularly nice soft quality cotton so I took it apart and have dyed the back, one sleeve, the back yoke and one cuff - orange, the two fronts, other sleeve inside back yoke and other cuff turquoise. The cuffs will be used for a future project. The next time you see these fabrics they will be part of Muse 1.

I have never thought of cutting up old shirts to dye - often the fabric is still reasonable but not fit to be worn.
Thanks for the idea. Looking forward to watching as your next creation takes shape.
