Reading question

I read like mad and am currently working my way through MC Beaton's Agatha Raisin stories. Currently on book 5 in under a week and chuckling my way along - these are a cross between Miss Marple and Midsommer Murders!! Love them. I buy the paperbacks - 'as new' from Amazon but have a dilemma now -I have access to a Kindle. So my question is:
Do I buy the next book as a Kindle book at £4.75, or the paperback at £2.80 or better still do I go to the local library and borrow it for Free?????
At the moment I buy the paperbacks because I like to see them on the shelf but as I am only going to read them once (I guess) the library is a better option is it not?

The library service is wonderful and needs to be used so they are less tempted to cut the service. Even if you need to request the book, it's only around £1.20, which is cheaper than buying a one-read book, and it saves resources in paper, printing and transportation, too. I am a voracious reader, too, and our bookshelves are over-full. I find it really hard to get rid of books I've bought, so the library is perfect as a source of my reading.

I guess the library is the 'best' option, but I have to admit that I rarely use them myself! Now I have an iPad I tend to download books via kindle or iTunes as its so much easier and doesn't take up shelf space! However I still have to buy copies of reference books etc as they're not the same digitally!

You're way ahead of me on the Agatha Raisin books! I love our local library but only use it for reference books. There is something lovely about opening a new book and getting stuck in...
