Alice - making a start

As a small break from the Mad Hatter I have started to make the 3.5 metres of fabric that I will use to make the dress for Alice. It is made from torn white cotton shirts patched with pale blue stitching. I  have lots more to do on this - there will be lace added and more stitching before I cut out the dress.  I also have a large stack of crochet mats which will also make an appearance on this costume.  You will have to wait for future blogs to see progress :-)

This all looks very exciting and rather tantalising. I am trying to envisage what this will look like, without much luck.

I love the way the Mad Hatter is coming along, by the way.
