I am talking about my paper experiment - I have Maggie Grey's new book and decided to try gesso, tissue and paint. Following the instructions I used bondaweb to attach tissue to vilene, then did my layer of gesso with salt and sprayed the paper with coffee and a quick spritz of Adirondack colour wash in egg plant. It looked stunning whilst wet.....

The wonders of experimenting is that you don't need to the follow the rules,( well, I suppose the
H & S rules need to be followed, of couse!) so use the back - if you hadn't said anything would we be the wiser? If you have enough of the sample, cut it in half and carry on re-bonderwebbing it and then use the other piece "back to front" and see what developes.
best wishes
You really have ingenious experiments with materials.
I've tagged you for a meme Anna, if you visit my blog you'll see the rules there, hope you'll play along.
Hi Anna,
Looks interesting,
I haven't started mine yet run out of Pelmet Vilene.
Have afun week
wonderful textures Anna. I really like the colours too. I've been using a similar technique in some pieces I made up to use as the spine of some journals, and I had a similar problem with the tissue coming off from the vilene base. I just FME all over with copper thread and it worked wonderfully.
