Loss of Inspiration YET AGAIN !!!

You know that feeling of Slowly sinking into the loss of inspiration zone? Well I am well on the way there!! I have some ideas but can't get myself motivated to do anything - What can I do to get out of this hole???? I have so very nearly finished the Klimt bodice. Even doing this I am still using up every scrap I cut off - here for example are the seam trimmings which I turned into these weavingsand then turned them into three ATC's. To try to motivate myself, as you know, I have taken myself on a couple of trips at the weekends to museums and exhibitions - still no reaction - apart from hundreds of photos. I know I am starting a drawing course next week and maybe that will do something but in the mean time in almost a last ditch attempt to get some inspiration I have purchased four magazines - buying these lovely magazines in the UK is a huge cost - these four were a total of £50 which is really shocking. They had better inspire me or else!!!!

Oh and I have ordered my tickets for the Knitting and Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace -I am going on the Friday, but now I am worried that the threatened postal strike may prevent my tickets from coming!! Oh why am I in this depressing slump?!!!

I ordered tickets for the K & S show in Harrogate last week and they arrived pretty quickly so hopefully yours will too. If they don't arrive you can tell them on the door and they will give you a receipt so you can claim the money back from Twisted Thread if you should have to pay again. If you bought the ticket online you could take the confirming email with you?

I hope your muse soon comes back. The ATCs are a good start.

Love love love the atc's! Depressing? BLAH! You have some fantastic books! (they are ultra expensive over here too - have to sell the house just to buy one! lol) and you are going to that fabulous K & S Show??!!
Lucky you!!!
hugs, carole ;)

I am sure your slump will lift when you least expect it. We all feel a little like this at times. Being overwhelmed with too much inspiration can be just as bad, not knowing where to start or what to do first affects creativity just as much. Hope you enjoy the show, it is sure to inspire you

Those magazines look like they might put you on the right track for finding inspiration. Perhaps reading as many artsy blogs as you can will help? It's free too! I just thought I'd pass that idea on. Hopefully, you'll get creating soon.
Have a great day!

Enjoy your magazines and don't worry about the inspiration. It comes when you least expect it. Hope you feel better soon. I'll be at Knitting and Stitching on Friday too.

I agree with Gina, don't worry about ti, it's nature's way of giving you a natural resting period, after all, all the great artist through time went through lean periods.
Love the ATC's
