Catch Up - Part 3

Titania - Work in Progress - and suggestions required.

Here is a photo of Titania as a work in progress... almost complete is the Stomacher - it just needs the eyelets. The rest of the bodice is about to be boned and lined - that part should happen today. - the boned lining is ready. There is much more to happen to the bodice later.. The pile of stuff around the neck of the mannequin is lace I am about to use to make a small ruff - it is the most vile lace which I have dyed and stitched. But it is far too bright (compared to the rest of the costume - it will also have more distressing) - this is how it started..... I have tried over printing it with transfer paints - looks a little better but not much (no photo), tried painting it - that has not worked either (no photo) - I tried re-dyeing it but that makes it far too dark. I have tried washing it with weak coffee and tea (photo top below) but it is too 'green' now and I have tried to grill it (those of you who know me I do a lot of grilling of my fabrics) - pic bottom, but this spoiled the colour all together (distressed it nicely but not how I want it to be). SO my question to you is - any more suggestions as how I can dampen down the bright colour?? I want to keep the turquoise but lessen it?

Knock it back with chiffon scarves - black or navy?
